The Delhi Development Authority is all set to launch its housing scheme 2019 this week. On offer are 10,370 flats, including more than 1,000 three- and two-bedroom flats in Vasant Kunj.
“We will publicly announce the housing scheme through advertisements from March 6. The registration process will start in the third week of March when people can start applying for flats,” a senior DDA official said. “The process will be completed before the election code of conduct comes into force,” the official said.
For the first time, DDA’s housing scheme will be completed online.
Those applying for two-bedroom MIG flats or three-bedroom HIG flats will have to deposit Rs 2 lakh as registration fee. Those going for one-bedroom LIG flats will have to shell out Rs 1 lakh.
The registration fee will be refunded to applicants who are unsuccessful in the draw of lots, which will be held later. The registration amount for flats for economically weaker sections is kept at Rs 25,000.
Most of the flats — 8,383 to be exact — on offer are one-bedroom LIG flats, located in Narela and Vasant Kunj. The LIG flats are expected to cost around Rs 25 lakh. “We are still working on the costing and the final cost will be fixed soon,” the official said.
The 448 three-bedroom HIG flats in Vasant Kunj are expected to cost between Rs 1.5-2 crore and the 579 two-bedroom MIG flats in the same area are likely to cost between Rs 50 and Rs 75 lakh. There are 960 EWS flats on offer in Narela.
“These flats are under construction and only the work of water supply and sewage treatment plant is likely to be completed by July 2019,” a DDA spokesperson said.
“The LIG flats being offered in this scheme are newly constructed and are much bigger compared with the flats in our previous schemes,” the official said.
